OCPP EV Charging Software Integration

Evaluate charger-to-platform compatibility, session data and remote controls before bringing your equipment into a charging management system.

The starting point

OCPP compatibility needs to be tested at the equipment level.

OCPP provides a way for chargers and management systems to communicate. The functions available in practice depend on the protocol version, charger model, firmware and platform implementation, so integration testing is essential.

Designed for

Built around your setting.

The right charging approach depends on who uses the site, how long they stay, the available electrical capacity and who will operate the system.

01

Define the integration requirements

Start with the charger’s technical documentation and the operating functions you need. Establish how equipment identifies itself, reports status and records a charging session.

  • Charger model and firmware
  • Supported OCPP version
  • Connector and status mapping
  • Meter and session records
02

Test normal and interrupted sessions

Validate the complete charging journey, including supported remote commands, communications loss and reconnection. Record any limitations before the equipment goes into service.

  • Start and stop behaviour
  • Fault reporting
  • Offline and recovery behaviour
  • Billing-data consistency

Next step

Let’s talk about your site.

A few details are enough to begin. We can work through the technical questions together.

Let’s talk

Your project.
A conversation to start.

Tell the team your city, the kind of site you have in mind and what you want charging to make possible.

OCPP Integration FAQ

Does OCPP mean every charger is automatically compatible?+

No. Protocol support does not guarantee that every function works across every charger and platform. Confirm versions, implementation details and required features through testing.

Can existing chargers be assessed for integration?+

Share the make, model, firmware, supported OCPP version and technical documentation. Existing software agreements and configuration access may also affect the integration options.

Does OCPP itself process UPI payments?+

No. Payment processing is handled by the charging application and payment services. The integration must link payment status with the correct charging session and billing record.
